Bill Chan - Metro Vancouver Transit Police Board

Bill Chan has served on the Metro Vancouver Transit Police Board since 2022 and currently chairs its Finance Committee.

He is a Board Director of Vancity Credit Union, Canada’s largest credit union, serving more than 585,000 members and managing over $40 billion in assets. During his tenure, he has chaired both the Audit Committee and the Governance Committee, and has also served on the Risk, Technology, and Equity & People Committees.

Bill also serves on the Vancouver Coastal Health Board and previously sat on the Board of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), where he chaired the Finance and Operations Committee.

He brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience with Encorp Pacific / Return-It in British Columbia, where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Return-It operates a province-wide recycling system for beverage containers and end-of-life electronics.

In addition, Bill volunteers as a Board member and Treasurer of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC).

He holds CPA, MBA, and ICD.D designations.
